Financial Crunch :: 2010
Everyone these days seem to be unhappy with the their financial condition. No matter how much one earns, it’s getting harder and harder, and harder to meet the two ends together. Fluctuating price hikes have made it next to impossible for one to have savings for the rainy days. Out of frustration, most of us complain about the ruling government and judge their administrative skills. I don’t think they should be held responsible for all the chaos.

A country where the literacy rate is 49.9%, only 6.3% of Pakistanis were university graduates as of 2007 (OECD's 2009 Global Education Digest). If I take a look around me; 25% in States, 10% in Canada, 5% in Australia and 40% are making their living in Middle East Countries, while only 20% of my friends are working in Pakistan. And this dear reader, is the educated crowd, holding Bachelors, Masters and PhD’s in their hand, living abroad just for the sake of a better life style and secure future.

I guess I should not be counted wrong in saying that all the ‘cream’ of this country is not serving it!

When there is a job opening in any given sector, the 1st preference holder of that job is already working in States, 2nd is in Canada or Australia, 3rd in Middle East, the 4th preference candidate actually shows up for an interview call. Let’s here assume that he gets the job, excluding out the facts of favorism, racism and bribery. Do you actually believe that he would be able to match the caliber of the 1st preference candidate? Do you think he would be able to give equivalent output as of the 1st preference candidate? N – O, no … he would not! No matter how hard this chap works, giving 100% input, he would barely produce an output of 60%. And this 60% output from all the fields, results in an underdeveloped, third world country, we proudly call Pakistan.

The Matrix is all around us! :: 2010
When you are born, you are known by the bed number.
When you are at school, you are known by the roll number.
When you grow up, you are known by the Id or social security number.
When you die, you are known by the grave number.
System understands you in numbers.

Theory of evolution :: 2010

Have you ever noticed; a goat that ate meat? Or a cub that declared itself vegetarian? Perhaps a mosquito that decided to survive on milk rather on blood!
These animals have been continuing to live the same way since the time wasn't even recorded. But when it comes down to us humans, we certainly pertain the tendency in creating chaos to the system. Maybe that's the reason you don't witness an animal getting fed up of it's routine and finding it's way out to sky scrappers. But numerous examples would hit your mind if I ask of the people who have just had it with their lives and wish to go into the wild, or practically found the courage to do so.

I'm not making much sense, am I?

There was a time when sons were like fathers. They did what their dad used to do; dad was doing it because the grand dad did it, and the dad before him, so on for so long. A carpenter’s son learned his way with the wood. A blacksmith's son learned to tame the iron. A cobbler’s son would put his innovation in mending shoes. A prince would learn the etiquettes of ruling and securing his kingdom. Equaled to; skilled people, promising quality, and economical prices.
But then, the things changed when education kicked in. Everyone started to send their kids to school, where they were taught to be gentlemen. A good deed actually, but then that son won't come back to mend the shoes, or hammer a hot red iron. He, is educated know! He has learnt the genius of 2+2, and now believes that he could produce a sum of 5 by adding a pair of 2's. Congratulations, the economic chaos has born! Name it competition, evolution, or recession if you will.
A soldier's son is now an accountant, and his son claims to be an artist. A goldsmith's son runs the media and a landowner's son rules a country! Equals to; unskilled practitioner producing below average quality with extra ordinary high prices. As there aim is not to work for the sole, but for the wallet. They don't exhaust their selves to feed the hunger, but to cherish the greed. Instead of classifying each other by sir names, we ask where one’s residence is. Respect is given to the person earning higher paycheck, not to the one having higher educational degree!

No, it wasn't the monkey that turned human, it would never dare.

You are a Karachi Wala if; :: 2010
You are always an hour late from the given time.

Being a smoker you don't carry the combination of light and smoke or both.

You ask others opinion and make them do what you want.

You consider Islamabad and Pindi as same cities.

You are always 5 min late when some one comes to pick you from your home, but expect the others to be waiting at their door when you pick them.

You think traffic signals are merely decorative.

You believe all streets are 2 way.

You are unaware of the existence of ash trays and trash cans.

You consider your self wiser then the other person.

You actually agree with the above.
